These little creatures were in the yard outside the dog's fence last night. The are cute, but will have to chase them away because they can destroy a yard. They are baby armidillos.

Jade

This is our new baby. He is only 3 1/2 inches and will not get any bigger. He will learn to talk, probably bark. Abby is the only one of the furkids that do not think he should be in the house. She thinks birds are outside in the trees and sky.

The yard looks better now and we have three new azaleas and a new golden rain tree.

Cleanup progressing

Clean up is going well thanks to some friends with tractors, who helped by removing one stump and filling in the hole. We have got to the point that we will be able to tear down the walls in July when Mike can take a week off work. It looks so much better now. I planted a new tree - a golden rain tree and 3 azaleas. The grass is going to take a long time to grow back, but at least the big logs and the trailer peices are gone now.

Fur Kids at rest and play

Here we are resting and playing. Never a dull time at home and more toys than we know what to do with. Mom says we need to learn to put the toys back when we are done, but we let her do that.

More Pictures of the Trailer Damage

So here is what the Tornado deceided to do to our old trailer. We were lucky as my truck was not parked were it usually was and did not get smashed. Cleanup will take a while, but we had wanted to do something with the old trailer anyhow. Luckliy the trailer we have been remodeling in the back was not damaged and the trees in the back yard did not fall over and mash us. It just gives me room to plant more roses in the front yard and a new tree (of the flowering kind) and now we will take 2/3rds of the old trailer down and the other 1/3rd will be remodeled as a guest house. We are going to keep the metal frame and the roof and turn the 2/3rds into a covered deck.

May 3rd Tornado Damage

May 3rd at about 8:17 am a tornado wnet thru and fell a gumball and a dogwood on our trailer and sheared the corner of the bedroom off. This is before we began clearing the mess away.

Lucky plays (finally)

Lucky (our foster) started playing today. Lucky is the bigger one. I put Stomper in with him so I could vacumn and they started tussling and playing. It is the first time Lucky has shown any interest in playing. Tomarrow we will try to see if he will play with a ball or a stuffy.
